Claire McLane helped us to make a basement into a wonderful apartment. We have 800 square feet looking out on woods. Our apartment is the lower-on-grade level of our son and daughter-in-law’s home. While we have privacy from the family upstairs, we also have easy access. Claire used the small space very creatively to establish a variety of areas for different uses that flow into one another very nicely. Our apartment includes a living-dining kitchen, an office area, an accessible bathroom, and a bedroom. The bathroom is constructed with tiles and slate left over from a different project, which she combined artfully. We have storage usable in every space. Claire accomplished the permitting process expeditiously. She supervised construction. And helped us with occupancy permitting. Everyone loves and respects her. Later we added a porch with a rooftop deck above. She facilitated permitting and construction of that project as well.
